Dear Mr. Mandrell,
We wanted you to know how much we appreciate the excellent care my husband (Samuel âJasperâ Maxey) received at your facility. He came there from another facility in which he received poor care. He had lost 20 pounds in two weeks and was unable to walk due to weakness from the treatment in the previous facility. However, thanks to the physical therapists at Greystone, he learned to walk again.
Your employees had unbelievable compassion when urging him to learn to walk again. I could never repay Siavek for what he did. The first day he met my husband, he sat in the room with him on the bed and hugged him and gained his trust. He never once gave up on him and had him walking the hall before we left. Also, Dee was excellent and is such a compassionate person. She was greatly appreciated.
All the nurses provided great care. Our family could not believe the difference in the care. We also wanted to mention another person who stood out in our mind. It is Jerry Brown. He did each and everything he could do in order to make us all feel at ease. This continued till the day my husband left Greystone. We wanted you to know he goes over and above what is required of him. It was very apparent and we greatly appreciate him. We wonât ever forget his compassion and caring attitude.
You are lucky to have the staff you do at Greystone. I am so thankful that with your help and that of his current home health providers, Amedisys, my husband is doing well and he can walk with only a cane and can even get up and down a few steps. That shows what caring hearts can do for anyone who may have otherwise given up.
Mr. Mandrell,I couldnât believe you took it upon yourself to help program my husbandâs TV and to help us as you did his first day there. All facilities need an administrator like you. Please feel free to share the contents of this letter with the employees (and/or your superiors) we mentioned, etc. We could never thank you all enough.
